Words of the Loom

A calm word puzzle where every word adds a stitch · Ελληνικά

Each level gives you a wheel of letters and a small crossword to fill. Every word you find weaves a row of stitches into this chapter’s tapestry, and when the chapter ends, the finished tapestry joins your gallery with a short fable of its own. Loom is an original game, made by one person, and plays in English or Greek.

How to play

• Swipe across the letters on the wheel to spell a word, or tap them one at a time. On a computer you can also type.
• Words that fit the crossword fill it in. Find them all to finish the level.
• Extra words that aren’t in the grid still count: they fill a bonus meter that pays coins and weaves a golden thread.
• Stuck? Spend coins to reveal the next letter, a square you choose, or a few letters at random.
• Tap any word you’ve found to read what it means.

Tapestries and fables

Chapters weave pictures of foxes, owls, lighthouses, comets and more, one stitch per letter. Each tapestry comes with a fable that is revealed a passage at a time as you play. There are frames to collect, and seasonal festival tapestries in spring, midsummer, harvest and winter.

Your Lexicon

Every word you find is kept in your Lexicon with its definition, ranked from common to legendary. Complete sets such as Animals, Plants and Feelings to earn rewards.

Play together, gently

Add friends with a code, send each other daily gifts, and compare results on the daily and weekly boards. Join a weaving circle to work on one giant tapestry together, or challenge a friend to beat your result on any puzzle.

• English and Greek, each with its own progress and its own dictionary.
• Works offline, and can be installed to your home screen. Online features are optional.
• Options for larger text and reduced motion.
• Free to play. Optional supporter packs and coin packs are never needed, and on the web you can choose to watch a short ad for coins. Ads never play on their own.
